Dentist Background
Dr. Samira Oveson, DDS provides beautiful, comprehensive, and compassionate dental care to Salt Lake City. She is a fourth-generation dentist, who grew up in Southern California. She enjoys all that Utah has to offer! And it has been her lifelong dream to be able to open a small, personalized practice that will confidently serve the needs of her community, a dream that has come to life in Lilac Dentistry. Lilac Dentistry is situated in the heart of Salt Lake City in between Sugarhouse and the 9th and 9th neighborhoods.
She graduated cum laude in Anthropology from the University of California Los Angeles and received her dental training at one of the top dental schools in the country, the University of California San Francisco.
Do not let her young looks fool you! Dr. Oveson has had a 10-year career as a general dentist and has mastered her skills while serving a diverse group of patients. After working as a dentist in California and Texas, she moved to Utah with her family. Dr. Oveson could not be happier to provide exceptional care to her community.
When she is not in private practice, Dr. Oveson is clinical faculty at the University of Utah School of Dentistry, and enjoys teaching and mentoring dental students on the clinic floor to become great dentists. Additionally, she enjoys staying up to date in the latest dental knowledge through participating in continuing education coursework.

Utmost care is taken to ensure sterilization of rooms before and after patients as per current COVID protocols. Waiting rooms are sterilized hourly.
